Universities UK – Spiking: what universities can do

As universities prepare for the start of the new term, which as is tradition brings with it, Freshers week and the many welcome activities universities and local businesses organise, Universities UK is asking universities to be prepared for any spiking incidents that may occur.

Universities UK are calling for Universities to work with other local agencies, we heartily agree with this , working with local police, local clubs and bars is the only way we will make headway.

I am glad to see that the recommendations we have in our specific Student night out instrument, in our ProtectED Code of Practice are being replicated in this practice guide. You can read the full recommendations here.
