UKCISA – Spending Christmas in the UK as an international student
When universities shut down for the winter break, there are many students that stay on campus, from students that are estranged from their families to international students that are not returning home. Within our Code of Practice, we ask all our universities to plan support and activities over the break to make sure that students are supported and don't become lonely. For the many international students, it can also be their first time experiencing a Christmas in the UK, and all the traditions and different cultures celebrating can be overwhelming. UKCISA have published a lovely article looking at the real experience of one international student. You can read all about it here.
